The Lost Rider
The Lost Rider is a gripping Western comic that follows Lieutenant Mike Blueberry, a rebellious yet brave officer of the U.S. Cavalry stationed in the post-Civil War American frontier. The story begins when a military courier, carrying top-secret dispatches, mysteriously disappears in dangerous territory. Fearing that the information may fall into the wrong hands, Blueberry is sent to track him down and recover the documents.
As he sets out on this perilous mission, Blueberry finds himself in the midst of multiple threats: hostile Apache warriors, treacherous landscapes, and even betrayal from within his own ranks. Along the journey, he uncovers clues that the lost rider may have been ambushed—and that a larger conspiracy may be at play, involving corrupt officials and arms dealers looking to profit from continued conflict with Native American tribes.
Despite ambushes, injuries, and mounting political tension, Blueberry remains undeterred. His deep knowledge of the land, his strong moral compass, and his sharp instincts lead him to unexpected allies, including a mysterious tracker and a sympathetic tribal leader. Together, they piece together what really happened to the rider and race against time to prevent a possible war.
In the end, Blueberry manages to retrieve the dispatches and expose the corrupt forces behind the disappearance. But, as always in the Blueberry series, justice comes at a cost—and the lines between right and wrong remain blurred in the harsh realities of the American West
